Drawing from the experience of teaching methods and substance courses across disciplines and guided by the core educational philosophies, I developed my own teaching philosophy and strategy over the years. As an educator, I bring a blend of western and eastern philosophies in the classroom. I aim to equip students with skills to question, analyze and to think critically and encourage them to apply core learning in interpreting embedded facts and challenge the given hypotheses. Echoing John Steinbeck, I strive to pursue artistic innovation and active experimentation in my teaching, because I believe teaching is not passive pursuit but an active and dynamic phenomenon that shapes the educator and the students simultaneously.
