Drawing from the experience of teaching methods and substance courses across disciplines and guided by the core educational philosophies, I developed my own teaching philosophy and strategy over the years. As an educator, I bring a blend of western and eastern philosophies in the classroom. I aim to equip students with skills to question, analyze and to think critically and encourage them to apply core learning in interpreting embedded facts and challenge the given hypotheses. Echoing John Steinbeck, I strive to pursue artistic innovation and active experimentation in my teaching, because I believe teaching is not passive pursuit but a dynamic phenomenon that shapes and evolves the educator and the students simultaneously. I deliver my course lectures, learning materials, conduct student counseling/mentoring sessions, and seminars entirely in English.

Besides my teaching responsibilities, my academic service includes active contributions to institutional and academic governance that enabled seamless university-wide education and curriculum delivery. I served on the Faculty Grade Verification Committee, Faculty Board for Examinations and Integrity, Curriculum Design team for specific courses, and also dedicated my time as a member of Cultural Committee and Oversight team. Additionally, during my employment as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), I was one of the founding members of the "Data the Union", a Policy-major-led Data Science and Statistics lab nested in Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
